Hail Damage
Dents Charlotte is pleased to provide hail repair to your vehicle. In the case that your vehicle is caught in a hail storm, service is available to get your car completely repaired in as little as one day depending on the extent of damage. Rapid repair of hail dents is the best way to save time, and money, and keep your paint original. As a general rule, hail damage does not occur w/ hail less than .75inch diameter. Dents beyond 2.5 inches in diameter and that are caused by hail damage also do not generally repair as effectively as smaller damage. Any side molding, or accessories that are not a part of the actual body surface metal of the car are usually purchased separately and re-installed new if they are damaged from the storm.
Steps to Repairing Hail Damage:
There are several steps involved in repairing hail damage. We generally start with gentle and careful liner removal to access the backside or underside of panels. After liners are removed the dents are restored by a technical process of re-establishing the original appearance of the panel to match that of the normal surface on your vehicle. This should not affect your paint in any way. Dents can be removed from sheet metal, and aluminum panels, although aluminum is more labor intensive and at increased cost. The panels are Quality Controlled for original appearance, liners are re-installed, and the vehicle is prepared for delivery. We can also offer our customers exclusive Automotive Detailing after hail repair that includes cleaning, color sanding, compounding, glazing, and waxing the vehicle. Detail service is provided by a separate organization at additional costs and must be scheduled ahead of time. Although you may purchase detail service at increased costs, we at Dents Charlotte feel, it is well worth the price to protect your vehicle.
Insurance Claims:
Insurance companies often prefer Paintless Dent Removal(PDR) for hail damaged cars due to the cost and time savings involved. Dents Charlotte Inc. has worked with almost every major provider of Automobile Insurance, and regularly completes work for several of the largest providers in the United States who have customers with hail damage. If, for any reason you have hail damage and questions involving insurance coverage, Dents Charlotte will be pleased to help you handle your insurance questions and needs involving hail damage. Note to Customers with Current Claims:
If you have already received an estimate for hail damage from your Insurance Company or their catastrophe team, please do not contact Dents Charlotte to seek an additional or alternative estimate. Although our initial hail estimates are a useful guideline for hail repair costs, Insurance Companies make the ultimate call on the initial estimate. We are more than pleased to schedule your automobile for repair after your initial insurance claim if you've already gotten one, and request additional funds if necessary using a supplemental by contacting your provider directly once the vehicle has arrived at one of our shops for repair. We do not control deductibles for insurance. Paying your deductible is an agreement by law, you've made between your insurance provider and you, when you purchased insurance and you must pay it at the time your vehicle repairs are completed, as it generally covers the difference in the total damage estimate, and what insurance will provide to do repairs. If there's any discrepancy for repairs like something we cannot repair using PDR, we will deduct that from the overall price of the repairs. If for any reason, that leaves a balance owed to you, we will refund your money upon completion of your payment to Dents Charlotte for completion of our portion of repairable PDR related damage.
